Winter League Week 3

Good Morning all

Surprisingly Mild Day Sunday after Saturdays Rain , i understand the course drained well and was more than fit for you gents to go out and play……………..So on to the tale of the day.

This week we shall start with with the NP and congratulate John Bogan (Red Rose Captain) on winning with his shot to 6ft 10″ – the second sub in the first 3 weeks to win this. John now books his slot in the Shoot Out Final – and his Pro Shop Account will be credited with £12.80.

Our Winners on the day where Flanny and Kenny, who beat Mr Vice and Holty on a CPO back 9, with a better Nett score. When I messaged Kenny about winning and asking where his money was to go, he message me back saying didnt care as he could not wait to tell everybody he will be off 10.4 lol…………………Flanny was not as happy to find out he was off Scratch for some reason!! It was similar with Mr Grumpy (Holty) ‘Another shot gone then’ – He did message me after the last Handicap qualifier saying he had gone up to 10.4 – as most know the WL committee dont give shots back from outside the League itself………….Mr Vice took it on the Chins.

2’s Yesterday paid £6.40 to each player and there where 5 recorded at either the 1st or 14th, Think Craig has now credited your account if you got one.

Fantastic reaction to playing Knockouts early, especially matchplay, it helps me immensely if you do play before the Date Set. For those in the next round already and who have opponents through as well then same applies if you can arrange early – Next date for completing the 2nd Round is 14th December.

The photos of the pairings are slow coming through, and as you know I like to post a Photo of the winners or of anything that goes on whilst you are out there playing – So I would be grateful if you could just get them taken and sent to me, especially the Newer players to the League, its also a good way of knowing who is who – so this week you give me no choice but to look at my Mug, hey you only have yourselves to blame as it should have been Flanny / Kenny this week.

Next Sunday I would request that we all pay our Respects to the fallen Hero’s with a 2 Minutes silence at 11am – I will ask Craig to blow the hooter – 1 long Blast to start and finish this – It may be difficult for those out at 12 / 13 to hear this, so set an alarm on your phone if you can.

The format next week will be Both to score S/Ford Front 9 and 4BBB S/Ford on the back 9……………….something new for some of you, but a format you can play matchplay with. 2’s Holes will be 10 and 14.
